After a decade-long journey launching in 2011 , Convict Records has been completely rebuilt from top to bottom. We are excited to also announce the release of brand new features like Claim A Convict and Conversations (launching today 🎉).

But this is just the beginning - with the invaluable support of thousands of contributors and the ongoing backing of a small Australian software company, we’re gearing up for even more exciting developments at Convict Records.

To keep up the momentum, we need to move to a more sustainable model, and the first part of that is the Supporters Club , our happy medium that underpins the ongoing development of Convict Records.

Introducing Conversations

Perhaps the #1 requested feature over the years is the ability to have a conversation with fellow historians of Convict Records.

Well, at long last, Supporters Club members will be able to do just that!

Now you can easily reach out to others and share insights, discoveries, and more!

You will need to Join our Supporters Club to start new conversations, but your fellow historians do not need to be in the Supporters Club to respond. So feel free to reach out to anyone!

To start a conversation, simply click "message" on the users profile. Your existing conversations can be accessed from your account dropdown in the top right.

Introducing Notifications

Notifications are a way to keep you informed about new features, improvements and updates on Convict Records. You will also receive notifications when other users Claim a Convict you have also claimed, or someone sends you a message.

You can manage your notifications by clicking on the bell icon in the top right corner of the screen.
