John married Susannah Rope, 1818, New South Wales. Susannah was the daughter of Anthony Rope (First Fleet Convict, Alexander, 1788) and Elizabeth Pulley (First Fleet Convict, Prince of Wales, 1788). John and Susannah had 3 daughters: Eliza 1819; Mary Ann 1821; and Sarah 1824. No further details are known about John, he must have died pre 1828. Susannah and children are recorded in the census but not John.

John Bradley deserted the army in Spain taking with him a payroll trunk containing 300 dollars.
John received a Ticket of Leave 31 Dec 1831 at Evan, NSW No. 32/649 John/James Bradley got his Conditional Pardon on 6 Jul 1840 at Evan, No.40/60 He was very much alive in 1840. Was possibly on the 1841 census in Parramatta. Could have died in 1859 Parramatta - still to be checked

He was tried for desertion from Army in Spain & stealing money at Isle of Leon Court Martial, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 9 1815 after a voyage of 5months on BARING. He married Susannah (Rope) on 7 9 1818 at Christ Church Castlereagh. He was free by Servitude by 1821. On 10 6 1823 he, as John (Bradbury), was directed to take charge of the grazing run of William (Walker) Wesleyan Missionary at Macquarie River. He was assigned as servant to his wife when he was sent to Port Macquarie for one year on 6 7 1824 after being convicted of embezzlement- he travelled on HMS LADY NELSON. oN 31 10 1825 he was employed by Rev Henry (Fulton). He was issued his Ticket of Leave no.32/649 on 31 12 1831 at Evan. His Conditional Pardon 40/6 was presumably issued on 1 5 1839, recorded as cotton weaver, & received on 6 7 1840. John (Bradley) & Susannah (Rope) produced at least 4children: mainly girls 1.Eliza Winifred (Bradley) was born on 27 1 1818 & baptised on 20 2 1819 at Christ Church Castlereagh. She is recorded in 1828 with her mother at Evan. 2.Mary Ann (Bradley) was born on 20 12 1821 & baptised on 3 2 1822 at Christ Church Castlereagh. She is recorded in 1828 with her mother at Evan. 3.Sarah (Bradley) was born on 9 6 1824 & baptised on 29 8 1824 at Christ Church Castlereagh. She is recorded in 1828 with her mother at Evan. 4.John (Bradley) was born on 10 5 1829 & baptised on 9 8 1829 at Christ Church Castlereagh.
