Elizabeth was transported for "stealing table spoons". Previous offences: acquitted for a ham, 12 months for a shawl, 6 months for a tablecloth. 20 years old on arrival in VDL, she was 4'11½" tall, fair omplexion, brown hair, blue eyes, mole on right side of forehead, scar on right cheek. 15/10/1851: Absconded 29/10/1851: Absent without leave - 6 months hard labor. 31/10/1851: Being out after hours - reprimanded. No marriage permission available. 6/9/1852: Married William Whiting, aged 31, at St. John, Campbell Town. Elizabeth was 20 years old, a house servant. On the Colonial Tasmanian Family Links: 31/12/1852: Ellen Louisa WINTING, born at Campbell Town.
