Sarah Green was transported on the Indefatigable And Minstrel, departing 9th May 1812 and arriving 19th Oct 1812 with 331 passengers.
The Indefatigable was built at Whitby, England. She was square-rigged three masted ship of 549 tons and had three decks; a length of 127 ft. and a beam of 31ft. 8ins. The Indefatigable sailed from England on 4th June 1812 in company with the Minstrel. The Indefatigable came direct to Hobart, VDL arriving there on 19 October 1812. One prisoner died on the voyage out. Having disembarked the prisoners in Hobart, the Indefatigable arrived in Port Jackson on 6 December 1812, departing there bound for England in January 1813. The Indefatigable returned to Australia with convicts in 1815 (see separate listing).

As per Old Bailey Record #630: sentenced to Death, changed to Life, when gaol matrons discovered she was 'quicken with child' (pregnant). Sarah died (aged 56) in the Sydney Benelovent Home and is buried in the Devonshire Street cemetery (Sand Hills) and now, sadly lost to time under Central Railway Station.

SARAH GREEN, Theft > theft from a specified place, 18th September 1811. 630. SARAH GREEN was indicted for feloniously stealing on the 17th of June , a watch, value 20 l. three neckcloths, value 12 s. a shawl, value 5 s. and seven yards of lace, value 10 s. the property of James Cranbourn Strode , in the dwelling house of William Liddiard . JAMES CRANBOURN STRODE . I am a lodger in the dwelling house of William Liddiard , the prisoner was a servant there, she had access to my lodging. Q. Did you lose any property - A. I lost a gold repeating watch, a seal, three neck handkerchiefs, and about seven or eight yards of lace. Q. Did the prisoner leave the house - A. Not upon taking of my things. WILLIAM JACKSON . I am an officer of Marlborough-street, I apprehended the prisoner at her mother's, Kew Green; this shawl and the coral necklace belonging to Mr. Lidiard, she had in her pocket. Q. That is not in this indictment - A. I went with the prisoner to her lodgings, 32, Mary-le-bone-lane, there I searched her box in her presence, I found a duplicate of a gold repeater, eight yards of lace, and three muslin handkerchiefs in her box; the prisoner said she knew nothing about it, and was very willing to be searched. MR. EWER I am a pawnbroker. I produce a gold watch, I believe it to be pledged by the prisoner. I have very little doubt, but I cannot be positive. Prosecutor. This is my watch, I know it by the striking of it. This shawl is mine, there is a great deal of work upon it; I know it by the work, and the neckcloths are marked. The prisoner said nothing in her defence, nor called any witnesses to character. GUILTY - DEATH , aged 23. First Middlesex Jury, before Mr. Justice Heath.
