He was tried at York city Guildhall Assizes Yorkshire on 4 3 1791, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 2 1792 after a voyage of 8.5months on PITT; much fever & attempts to escape from the ship resulted in deaths of convicts-of the 450convicts on board only 29 were alive at muster in May 1792 (or perhaps only this many could be mustered). He had a first relationship with Sarah (Buchan). He was Free by Servitude by 1801. He seems to have been a religious man &, in November 1813, purchased a weighty family bible. He was Free by servitude by 1815. Robert Alcock was baptised Robert Allcock in St. Peter's Church (later Cathedral), Bradford on August 28, 1767. On April 28, 2018 I adjusted the record to show a 1762 date. However further research points to the 1767 date as previously recorded. Robert Allcock's liason was with Sarah Beecham/Bucham(as per NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages). On the convict list as Sarah Boskham. Also known as Bookham/Buchan/Amos(alias). When in the colony Robert Allcock(Alcock) was a member of the "Parramatta Loyalists", a militia set up by Governor Hunter. According to NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages he was buried on May 31, 1827.

Tried and convicted at the York City Assizes on 5th March 1791, sentenced to 7 years transportation. Left England on 17th July 1791. Ship:- the 'Pitt' sailed with 352 male 58 female convicts on board of which 20 males and 9 females died during the voyage, it was also reported that 5 male convicts had escaped enroute. Arrived on 14th February 1792. In the Colony Robert had a liason with convict Sarah Buchan ('Indispensible' 1796) that resulted in the birth of 3 children, Elizabeth b1797, Letitia & William b1801. In 1801, Robert was tried for the Murder of Mary Hailey with 4 others (Thomas Blackett, David Burton, Edward Cox and Francis Jones). Other than Cox the others were sentenced to death. Favourable circumstances emerged for Robert at the trial, David Burton confessed and was executed, his confession saved the lives of his co-accused, who were sentenced to hard labour for 3 years. The Sydney Gazette and NSW Advertiser 1st January 1804. HIS MAJESTY'S MOST GRACIOUS PARDON, granted to Thos. Blackett, Robert Alcock, and Edward Cox, ALIAS Bird. Thomas Blackett, Robert Alcock, and Edward Cox alias Bird, were at a Court of Criminal Judicature held at Sydney in Our Territory of New South Wales, on the 9th day of December, 1801, tried and convicted of Murder, and had Sentence of Death passed upon them for the same ; WE in consideration of some favourable Circumstances humbly represented unto Us in their behalf, are Graciously pleased to extend Our Grace and Mercy unto them, and to grant them our PARDON for their said Crime, on Condition of their being kept to hard labour respectively for Three Years, and at the Expiration of such period, to continue to reside for the Term of their respective natural lives in the said Colony of New South Wales, or some one or other of the Islands dependent thereon ; Our Will and Pleasure therefore is, that You give the necessary directions accordingly ; and for so doing this shall be your Warrant. Sarah died on 30th March 1806 at Parramatta age 40. Robert the married convict Elizabeth Longdon ('Alexander' 1806) on 6th October 1806. Citation details: 1806 p. 54 no 204 Robert Alcock of the parish of St John Parramatta and Elizabeth Oliver of ditto were married in this church by banns this sixth day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred and six by me Samuel Marsden. Robert and Elizabeth both made their X marks in the register in the presence of William Jones(?) who signed the register and Mary Grimshaw who made her X mark. Robert died on 21st May 1827 at Parramatta age 60.
