Robert Wilson was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 31st Dec 1813 and arriving 28th Jul 1814 with 204 passengers.
Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

Convict Notes
Robert Wilson ?0, for having committed a burglary in the dwelling-house of John Wing, at Fordingbridge. Downer deposed that he saw the prisoner at the bar on the ? of March last, at a public house called the Fighting Cocks and entered into conversation with him. The prisoner said he understood there was an old miser in the neighbourhood, that usually carried four or five hundred pounds in his pockets, and then pulling out paper, he read the name of John Wing, - that, he said, was the person, and he would have the money – he would reward any one who would shew him the house, for he would be d--d but would have his money or his life; he, the prisoner, had keys that would unlock any lock in the kingdom. The prisoner asked the witness to lend him a file and chisel; the latter said, he would think of it. The prisoner then returned to the public house, which was about two miles from Fordingbridge. The witness and the witness’s brother went together about ten o’clock to the former’s house, and fearing they had not strength enough, called other assistance. On continuing to the house they found the lead lights out of the window, and the doors open; they alarmed John Wing, who came down naked, very much frightened, he said he had heard noise about ten minutes before. Witness had not known the prisoner before, but understood from him he was just come out of jail, where he was acquitted on two indictments. He came down to enquire after a young man of the name of … He told witness he could get any person put jail in ten minutes, and requested , who had a son there, with one Plumbly of stealing horses.
