Convict Notes
Glasgow Chronicle newspaper dated Wed 19th Sept 1849 Glasgow Autumn Circuit Court Wed 12th Sept 1849. Thomas Corkindale, accused of the theft of a quantity of pig-iron from the field of Windmillcroft, near the harbour of Glasgow, aggravated by being habit and repute on four previous convictions. Panel denied the charge; by the jury found the charge proven, and he was sentenced to 10 years transportation
